Eligibility Criteria

Admission to B.A / B.Sc Part 1 is open to students who have successfully passed the Higher Secondary Part II examination (10+2) of the J&K State Board of School Education or an equivalent recognized examination.

Minimum Percentage for B.Sc. Admission

Category	Minimum Marks Required
General Category	45% or above
Reserved Categories (as per S.R.O 126)	40% or above

Stream Change Rules

Arts to Science: Not permitted under any circumstances.
Science to Arts: Permitted, subject to seat availability and infrastructure feasibility.

Non-Eligibility Criteria

The following candidates are NOT eligible for admission:

Candidates with short attendance in the previous academic year.
Candidates who did not appear in the annual university examination.
Candidates convicted for moral turpitude or criminal offences.
Failures or "Re-appear" candidates in the 12th class examination.

Re-appear Candidates (Internal Semesters)

Candidates with a "Re-appear" in one subject in Part I or Part II may be admitted to the next class at their own risk. Admission will be cancelled if the subject is not cleared within the chances prescribed by the University of Jammu.
